Frequently asked questions
What does a URL list cleaner do?
It helps organize URL lists by removing duplicates, cleaning tracking parameters, filtering unwanted links, sorting entries, and converting results into useful formats.
Can I extract URLs from text?
Yes. Choose Extract URLs and paste text containing web addresses. The tool identifies HTTP and HTTPS URLs and prepares them for further processing.
Can I compare two URL lists?
Yes. Select Compare Lists, enter both lists, and choose whether to show URLs unique to the first list, unique to the second list, shared by both, or combined.
Does the tool upload my URL list?
The tool processes the entered text in your browser and does not send the list to a server through its own processing code. Your hosting environment and any other WordPress plugins may have their own separate behavior.
Does removing tracking parameters change a URL?
Yes. It removes common analytics parameters such as utm_source, utm_medium, and gclid. Some query parameters are necessary for a page to work correctly, so use this option carefully.
Does extracting a domain remove subdomains?
The hostname output keeps the hostname exactly as represented in the URL, such as blog.example.com. It does not determine the registrable domain, so blog.example.com and www.example.com can remain separate.
